Built on Research, Driven by Clarity

We started craitiayusex in 2019 because financial analysis felt overcomplicated. Too many people were making investment decisions based on headlines rather than actual company fundamentals. We wanted to change that.

From Spreadsheets to Teaching

The idea came from late nights spent analyzing financial statements. Not for clients or employers—just personal curiosity. After years of working in financial services across Brisbane and Sydney, I noticed a gap. Most retail investors had access to information but lacked the framework to use it properly.

So we built craitiayusex as a bridge. Not flashy software or prediction algorithms. Just solid education in fundamental analysis—the kind that helps you read a balance sheet without falling asleep, or spot red flags in a cash flow statement before they become problems.

Our first workshop in Rockhampton had eight attendees. By 2022, we were running sessions across Queensland. Now we serve learners throughout Australia, though we've kept our headquarters here. The pace is better for thinking clearly.

How We Actually Teach This Stuff

Financial analysis isn't mystical. It's methodical. Here's what makes our approach work for people who've never opened an annual report.

01

Real Company Case Studies

We use actual ASX-listed companies—successes and failures both. You'll analyze BHP's capital allocation decisions, examine Woolworths' margin trends, and understand why certain mining companies went sideways while others thrived during the same commodity cycle.

02

Ratio Analysis That Matters

Most courses dump 40 financial ratios on you. We focus on the dozen that actually tell you something useful—return on equity done properly, free cash flow conversion, debt service coverage. Then we show you what good and bad look like across different industries.

03

Industry Context First

A retail company and a software company need different analytical lenses. We teach you to adjust your framework based on business model—because comparing inventory turnover for a bank makes zero sense. Context prevents foolish comparisons.

04

Reading Between the Lines

Financial statements tell stories, but often indirectly. We teach you to spot inconsistencies—when revenue grows but receivables grow faster, when margins compress but management blames "one-time costs" for the third consecutive quarter. Pattern recognition matters.

The People Behind the Research

We're not celebrities or market gurus. Just analysts who've spent years reading financial statements and who genuinely enjoy teaching others to do the same. Small team, focused approach.

Lead Research Analyst

Spent twelve years in equity research before starting craitiayusex. CFA charter holder. Still reads annual reports for fun, which probably says something concerning about work-life balance. Specializes in extracting useful information from deliberately opaque corporate disclosures.

Education Director

Former corporate trainer who got tired of teaching PowerPoint skills when she'd rather teach financial literacy. Designs our curriculum to be challenging without being punishing. Believes that if you can't explain something clearly, you don't understand it well enough.
